Yes, 4 lambs slaughtered and to the butcher this morning here on the farm. Four fleeces salted and out in patty's barn to thresh. And a whole section of fence repaired. I need a nap!

We've butchered our own pigs that we raised. The worst part is pulling the trigger. The rest is pretty rote~ not unlike field dressing a deer. Who pulled the trigger at your house?

If you read this blog respect Jen and the work she must do to keep her farm going. This is real. That is what most want to learn from her honesty. There is always cat videos for those who are in the business of expressing offense.

Good Job, No Beth48, this isn't completely sad. This is the cycle of life on a farm. Jena's animals have a good life and a quick death as opposed to what you see in the grocery store.
