It just makes me so happy for some reason! We haven't had a real winter in two years and I'm ready for a good one.

Looks so cozy! That isn't a Vermont Bun Baker is it? If so I'm envious-soooo want one!! Despite it being a whopping 39 degrees here in West Gardiner, Maine, I didn't get the pellet stove going. Enjoy your morning!

That's the bun baker!

39 here too! It's funny, isn't it? We're all excited to be cozy on this end of winter going into the long haul. I have hot coffee and wool socks. Come March I'll be a t-shirt in the garden at 39 degrees!

In CT last night around 10 I took the dogs out in shorts and a long sleeve Tshirt...BIG MISTAKE I was chattering and shivering my but off. But I was rewarded with the clearest sky and HUGE moon. The other day I smelt a fire place burning in the distance. Here's to hoping it'll chilly this weekend, I'm going to Sturbridge Village for a pottery class. It'll be so perfect!

Looks warm and toasty! It's still in the 60's every morning here in Oklahoma ☺

We're not quite that cold yet, but I find myself almost aching to start up the stove. I have to remember that I'll be running it for six months, and burning up the pile of wood I still need to work on, and dealing with the noisy fan I didn't get around to replacing this year, and cordoning off the half of the house we don't want to heat... and then I don't feel so anxious to light a fire :)

Okay, I admit I'm kinda cheap, even about wood we processed ourselves. My goal is always not to use any heat until Halloween, although I usually have to give in about mid-October. We once made it to the first week in November. I'm fine with a sweatshirt or shawl until the cold makes me say "uncle".

Still very warm in Louisiana. It was only about 68 this morning and got up to 90 today.

I would love the Bun Baker! I almost fired up the wood stove, but held off. It warmed up eventually....
