Maude, never change.

Is Maude a Cotswold with a different haircut, or a different breed? I know nothing about sheep. If they are different breeds, what are some of the differences in the finished yarn?

Maude is a puerbred border leicester, The Cotswolds are, well, cotswolds, and joseph (black sheep) is a border leicester/cotswold cross! Sale is a Romney/border leicester cross.

the rest are scottish blackface!

That is the most gorgeous photo! Maude can revel in her moody beauty. Looking forward to the next wool workshop. Turns out that my mantra of "everything I want is right in front of me" has been proving true!!!! A friend's mom gave me her spinning wheel to use indefinately! Then I went to a shop to see what parts needed replacing and the shopowner just pulled out a kit and tools and we overhauled the thing right then and there. I'm picking it up tomorrow once the glue on the hub has dried. I am so thrilled!!!

Maude is a beautiful ewe. She looks so regal and serene ~ you're so lucky to have a herd. We live on 8 acres and I'm tempted to start my own small flock but I wouldn't know how to begin. I think I'll read your book (Barnheart) again and get some hints.

She's a beauty. Neighbor's little girl saw my white standard poodle on Sunday. She said "oooh can I go pet the sheep?" Guess he really did need to go to the groomers!
