high in the hay

Found the morning's egg haul up in 4 bales up in a Jenga collection of hay bales in the barn. I collect them by the lantern light, to the sound of a horse blowing air, pigs rooting though morning feed, and chickens and rabbits having at their morning water and breakfast. When I close my eyes, the music is a sog I know by heart.

How could a woman as lucky as this feel bad about a dented truck and cracked well cap? Only a damned fool would mind such a thing.

Glad to hear the funk has left. What do you mean by a "jenga collection of hay bales"?

That's the spirit! I once dented TWO new cars by backing our new car into our other new car. Oh I was pissed, but now it's a funny story. Here's a trick, park next to an even uglier truck when you go places, chances are you could make a new friend. My best friend in Denver and I used to do that because we had the two ugliest cars in the whole city!

The sounds of a barn would lift my spirits or make my Barnheart pump faster. I love your little barn.

Glad you're feeling better. Sometimes the promise that a fresh new day brings is enough. Great-looking eggs!

I think that is the same light I have too. The best part is it won't allow you to burn anything down.

Actually, trucks with dents in them look like the people who drive them actually need them and aren't wannabes wasting petroleum on their egos.

I knew it would only be a matter of hours before your inimitable perspective surged to the front and righted the universe. Lucky woman you are indeed, and you help me see how lucky I am too, with your honesty. Thanks, Jenna.
