I can't wait....

I saw I&W at the Wiltern in LA, CA earlier this spring and I thought of you! I'm so glad you're headed to see the show. They didn't disappoint. My absolute favorite, "Trapeze Swinger", was the encore--as a solo. He was brilliant.
Tomorrow, I'll plant up my raised bed in the back patio of our 4-unit apartment building. We're lucky--it's technically space for everyone to use, but no one else is terribly interested in it. By default the space is ours, and we're packing it full of veggies! The Seed Savers Exchange seeds I ordered arrived today--perfect timing. I got the golf ball-size "Paris Market" carrots and the "Cylindra" beets. I can't wait to get them in the ground.
It's great to get my hands in the dirt while living in Los Angeles. It's keeping me sane until I get back to New England, plant some apple trees or revive old ones, order the day-old chicks, find the sheep, and dig in.
I really appreciate the time you put into your blog to tell us about your life.
Enjoy the show tomorrow night!!

I&W: I love Sam but he needs to rest that voice. It sounds shredded to me. I would be upset if I spent a lot to hear that. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the show.

Garden: Well, we sold our first batch of food yesterday. I delivered two boxes of veg to me customers with some eggs to fill out the order. Hopefully this storm rolling through today wont do too much damage/. Fingers crossed! Anyhow, thanks for the encouragement, Jen. Do you get to call yourself a real farmer if you sell the food that you grow?

ward I think this clip is from a concert when he was ill? He usually doesn't sound like that.

Yes Ward, you are a farmer. And congrats on the food! And I think anyone, anywhere, who is growing food for more than just their household is a farmer. the end.
