Sometimes a girl just needs her guitar.

Once upon a time I strummed a guitar and plinked on a piano. I wasn't very good at either, but I miss the soothing feeling of playing.

I'd love to make music- not my forte- I am a bit tone deaf I'm afraid! :)

I don't know how to do the you tube thing or I would have linked it for you.

Tonight I Just Need My Guitar

Originally from the Album: Far Side Of The World (2002)

Gulf coast nights, flounder lights
I’m back on the Eastern shore
With my history of wrecks
I think It’s time to check
The crab trap of life once more

Need is a relative thing these days
It borders on desire
The high tech world is full of bright shiny things
We think that we really require

Sometimes more than others
You see who and what and where
You are
I’m a one-man band with no
Immediate plans
Tonight I just need my guitar

Don’t need to feel important or famous
No limos or my little Nash car
One lucky man
With my feet in the sand
Tonight I just need my guitar

Good call on the Jimmy Buffet finsandfeathers!

As much as I love hearing them played, I accepted long ago that I don't have the patience or coordination to learn guitar. The Russian couldn't play a note when we first got together either but he's been slowly teaching himself and he's gotten quite good. Seems to be my lot in life to live with a guitar player and I'm glad for that.

Hey, Jenna, busy days here at my urban farm. We butchered our first pig -- actually, I just drove it to the pig processor up in the mountains north of Atlanta -- but I have spent today situating all my meat.
And it was a Yorkshire! See what your girl will become!!
Mine weighed 368.5 pounds at slaughter.
Check out my pictures on my blog!
Love your writing.
