Good luck on the barn. I'll be interested to follow its progress as I'm planning a small shed too.

Be careful, have fun, take lots of pictures. It isn't every day that a place becomes a farm. (My grandfather said you could tell what kind of farmer a man (ok, I know sexist but he WAS born in 1899) is by his barn.
Build a beauty.

That's funny, Sylvia. I wonder, does that mean the dozens of dilapidated old barns in our part of the country are a comment on the work ethic of the local farmers . . . or just that they no longer keep horses to pull the combines? :o)

For my part, I think my uber-coop makes me a bit of a fussy dandy. It's a bit TOO pretty.

we used our barn for a lot more then a place for horses- had a shop, tractor and equipt storage- bins for 3000 bushels of potatoes,-hay, etc. you get the idea and my dad said same thing- a barn tells a lot about a farm and a man.
