Gorgeous doe! I am anxious to hear more about your rabbit production as it gets underway. I cooked a rabbit for the first time ever this past weekend as a result of your post about the rabbit farm. I was surprised by my reaction: I have been a meat eater most of my life and never squeamish about dressing out meat, but the rabbit bothered me. I felt like it was something about its shape or backbone, and I tried not to be a wuss, but I found I couldn't enjoy the meat (but everyone else in my family LOVED it). Maybe next time I will quarter the carcass instead of cooking it whole, or maybe I'll just get used to it as I cook more of them.

Is that a bee box behind that doe?

Yum. She looks great! Think of the wonderful meat she'll put on your table.

she is beautiful, when are her kits due?

We went to a bee store last weekend to get some screened bottom boards for our two hives and saw a pretty green hive box like the one in your picture, think I may paint ours a pretty pale color. The screened bottom boards are supposed to be a non chemical way to prevent varroa mite problems.

Aw she's so pretty and calm looking.... I would love the have a rabbit hutch, but I'm horrendously allergic to rabbits (much to the chagrin of my kids).... you're following my dream, Jenna... amazing! :) I get to live vicariously through your blog!
