Totally cute! both you and the hat! I'm a novice knitter myself. I'm not sure I have the patience.

I love it! And once your learn knitting in the round, you'll be addicted to circular needles! The way you cast on makes all the difference. Try knitting into the stitch cast on (your friend or knit shop can show you if you don't know that one)
I learned a week ago and on my second hat. I'm an addict! ( more expensive, but it sure beats smoking!)

Hi Jenna,

Your hat looks great!

Hey, I know you mentioned that you would have another book coming out, when will that be?

Too cute and I bet it's wonderfully warm too.
It's a great photo and you might think about making this into your profile photo. Just a thought ...

Kati - the paperback of MFS comes out in April with a new chapter and interview. The next books, which focuses on chickens, comes out in late fall of 2010.

Love the hat. I really need to learn how to knit! I just have a hard time putting down my cross-stitching. My husband and I both loved your book! You inspired us. My mother and law and I planted a veggie garden last spring. Hoeing sucks, but the veggie's were wonderful!

Cute. Makes me wish I could knit. Maybe I can learn some time this year. I know a couple of people that might be able to teach me.

Peace,
Pam

Jenna, love your hat. I am not a very good knitter (need to make time to take a class so I can do more than throws). I love my Turtle Fur hat I bought at REI, but yours is so cute! Someday I'll be able to knit knit knit! Enjoy your winter!

Did you use any particular pattern for your cute hat? My teenage daughter is knitting hats right now for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis for a church project.
Best of luck with the farm/cabin/home search and buying!
