That was awesome Jenna, during our big snow storm this weekend, I sat with a cup of hot cocoa and reread your early blog posts, and I can't believe how much you have accomplished in such a short span of time. I cant wait to see where CAF goes from here. Happy Holidays!!

Jenna, I wanted to thank you for all the footage and photos of South Dakota! The Mitchell corn palace, the badlands, that giant green concrete dinosaur, Wall Drug... Those seemingly quirky places all remind me of HOME. I was raised on a farm in the eastern part of the state and am now back there visiting my family for the holidays. South Dakota is such a wonderful place, with so much untouched earth and room to breathe. Living in northern IL now, I sometimes feel caged by the lack of arms wide open, horizon to horizon, land. Thank you for making SD a part of this charming video, and I hope you found its beauty and people kind on your venture through.

For someone from PA, I have spent a lot of time in SD. My high school boyfriend's family was from there and we went one summer. Then I drove through it twice. I've been to Wall Drug THREE TIMES!

I love that state. Black hills, badlands, amazing place.

Woot! That was both exciting and moving to watch, and to have been reading along with other like-minded people here has been a real treat each day you post something new. (And of course, a little Arcade Fire never hurts! ;-) Here's to a new adventure in 2010!

That was awesome! Thank you for allowing all of us to come a long for the ride, this may sound sappy but you help us to know that we are not alone on this road and there may be a farm in our future too. Keep on writing and as j.c. said I can not wait for the 2010 edition.

You are a shepherd Miss Jenna - but of more than sheep. There is a reason you have so many supportive readers and I believe it is about more than the homesteading. For me it is about a glimpse into a different way of life. However, there are many blogs that go to that place. Your readers stay because you are also an artist in many aspects of your life, including your creative art, your writing most of all, your music, and your love of the Earth and the animals. So carry on, Jenna the Shepherd, into 2010. It is going to be a good year.

Just a thought too, for keeping positive. When your Runes flashed on that last screen- they kinda almost look like the word "YES". :) This just made my Tuesday!
