I have lots of my Granny's old kitchen things (pots, pyrex, oven mitts) that I use everyday. I love the sturdy-ness of something that's been around twice as long as I have!

In pea news, my sprouts are about 2" tall and very cute. I am so proud!

carrie that is great! You should be proud, you're raising dinner instead of hell, welcome to the club. (though we can usually do both)

mine just came up yesterday.

Jenna, the boys named their pea sprouts and they are coming along nicely. I love the blue pyrex dish in your picture, that's a great depth, I have trouble finding one that's that deep. I bought an antique nutmeg grinder after reading your book. I needed one and thought, why not try ebay? And I love it! Thanks for the inspiration. ~Vonnie

My kitchen is filled with old kitchen stuff - it is my favorite thing to look for when I'm antiquing. I have lots of Pyrex bowls, Fire King jadite dishes, cookie cutters, biscuit cutters, shredders, cast iron and on and on and on and I use them in my everyday cooking.

My mom totally has that pyrex. It's the best.
