Little Seeds

I bought two seed packets yesterday at the hardware store in town. They're from a local seed company and will be planted in containers, a quiet tradition here at the farm at first signs of spring. I will get them in small containers and they'll be crawling up windowsills and flowering by the time spring is actually here in full force. They were on sale for a dollar a packet. Not a bad price for hope.

Congrats! I planted seeds in indoor trays yesterday, in hope that we will have our raised beds built and filled by the time we can transfer them outside. When does the kaleyard go in, typically?

I get a thrill every time I harvest some small treasure from my garden. Today it was collard greens and my very first carrots.

Good price for something so delicious! We have begun sowing a few things, and I look forward to planting our snap pea seeds once I get my containers in place. Your harvest is soon coming!

Can you tell me the name of your local seed supplier? I've been looking for one!
