I love this vlog. I always enjoy when you talk about the home part of your homestead and the homemaking part of it. You look very pretty tonight.

Such daily satisfaction does not come easily. All we can do is work toward it with our choices. Good on ya.

Today I dug potatoes, filled jars with my home made beef stock, froze some home-rendered lard, pulled fences from cucumbers/melons to use as fences for the duck and geese enclosure, found the nest of duck eggs (finally)...now I'm enjoying a soup I made with beef stock, corn nibbles and green beans I raised and froze and a slice of home baked bread made with home made yeast...homesteading rocks!

Oops! I forgot to say that I made the 3 hen quiche this week, too. I use Made from Scratch recipes at least once a week. Thank you , Jenna, for sharing with all of us...you are awesome!

I bought a grass fed chicken, ok, I bought 5 of them in August, and I just finished thawing out the last one! Today, for dinner: baked chicken, with onion and garlic. Mushrooms, carrots and potatoes. OMG. I can't wait. (time to go back to the farmer.)

That was a fantastic vlog! So get what you mean, love the bit about the fire when it's not really that cold outside - the confort, the security...it's all so very simple. We don't homestead but we grow our own vegetables and have chickens, I'd love to do what you are doing but we don't have enough land!
Great quote and all that border collie love at the beginging....! (just been out for a run in the woods with mine).
Not really cold enough to light the fire here today but maybe if i just open all the windows.....
kindest regards from the alps.

Today on the Westin Price foundation FB page, there was an article on the Shepherdess of Scotland or British Hills. She and her family raise sheep on 2000 acres. Made me think of you!

Jenna, A lovely blog, I sense your heartfelt description of what gives you meaning in your life. I am fond of this quote "Love Your Life". It certainly fits you perfectly. I must say that you are looking good! Take care.

Jenna, I Know you want to look nice for the camera, but do you have to put on make up. You are making me feel like I need to spruce myself up a bit for my animals before I go out for chores! LOL (You look great!)
