A Design Farm? YES!

Not all of my readers know that I was a graphic designer before I was a farmer and author! And while I wouldn't say I'm the hippest kid on the block anymore with the newest issue of HOW magazine on her coffee table, I still have my chops. I design logos for mostly farmers now and love the process. I charge a quarter of what design firms charge and the final product (a back and forth of designs and changes until the buyer is satisfied) is your art, which you own, and get files able to look good on a business card or billboard. It's one of the many ways I keep this farm afloat.

P.S. These are not all final designs, but a compilation of works in progress.

I really do love your work Jenna, always have. Are you currently accepting new clients? I'm starting my croft this year with my secondary hive and big plans for the future and will be needing my own logo. Since you're the woman who inspired me from the first time I read 'Made from Scratch' it'd only be appropriately awesome if you crafted my visual interface with the community :)

Seagoddess: You mean like a degree? Or just learn the software? Lynda.com is a great place to learn software at home. I have my BFA in design, which I got at Kutztown University, PA.

Hi, Jenna! I already have a logo for my business and I've had business cards and brochures printed. What I'm looking for now is a car magnet. Would you be interested in designing that? I have a general idea of what I'd like and I could email you my brochure and business card designs so you could see the general theme.

Hello Jenna! I hope this posts this time as I have tried several times but it ate it. Could be operator error as I am not techno savvy lol. My husband and I are apostolic evangelists and I am an author as well. My question is if you would do graphics and logos for our ministries and my book logo ? I have several ideas but can't even doodle a stick figure so I need help. Please. If interested please let me know an email address I can get in touch with you privately.
Thanks!
Jeanie

The design of your blog including your title and logo's I've always been drawn too and your signature really shows in the logo's you've created. Great work. I've always wondered this about graphic design: Do you have to create your own pictures to include in the design or can you ask for permission to use others? Or is there a place you buy them?

Great work Jenna, from one designer to another! I love the simplistic beauty of silhouette designs, as they are both modern and classic and can be used in a million different ways. I'm a fan! lol

Eeeeeee highland cow logo! I love highlands!
I will engender this as I am currently doing the artwork for a friend's logo, but we will need someone to do the computer graphic part. I can put it on paper, but getting it tech ready is beyond my skills!

I realize that I'm leaving this on an older entry, but I just found your blog through a friend. I'm a small farmer in upstate South Carolina (transplant from California). Still have to have a day job while I build my little place into what I want it to be. What I do (finally) have, is a name for it. And I would like to get an idea of what you charge for a logo.
Thanks for your time.
