P.S. I am experimenting with adding vermicompost to those plastic-topped growing containers you see in the hardware store with the just-add-water-dirt-discs. Do you know what I mean? I took some seeds I had and set them up in the expanded disc "planter greenhouse" and once the seeds started to morph into sprouts I covered the whole thing with dark, casting-rich, vermi goodness from the worm bin. I am going to see how they compare to the regular discs. I predict WELL.
P.P.S. If you do buy one of those little mini-planters with the plastic clear dome, DO NOT PLACE IT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. All that does is create spindly, weak, useless sprouts reaching for the sun and shriveling up and dying a few weeks later. I know you think a seedling needs all the sun it can get but you are better off putting it out of the sun in a bright spot or under indirect light from a bulb than in any direct sunlight.
AND THANK YOU ANNIE'S!
