That's amazing! What an incredible feeling it must be to watch Italics flying toward you like that.

Simce im on my phone at first glance I thought he was flying away from you and with no description below the picture I didn't know if he came back. I went to another post and then came back so I could enlarge it and look closer... As i enlarged it i could see clearly and whispered to myself "ohh he's coming back". Too amazing for words and so thrilled for you!

Amazing...I was telling my husband about you and Italics and he said he'd love to do the same thing some day...

So far we are doing okay. I was out with him free flying for an hour and a half and I barely got him back. He came to my glove eventually but was either feeling threatened by a pair of mated red tails that flew through our hunting ground or bored with the lack of game around. He took off to hunt for himself....

I called him to the fist at the edge of the forrest, heart was pounding. I need to understand every single time I release him he may not come back, and that is okay.

Wow, what you just wrote about releasing him with the chance that he may not come back...that's a life lesson if I ever heard one! Must be terrifying and thrilling at once - hope each time you hunt together further solidifies your partnership...

Jenna, I left a comment on CAF facebook page about a hawk in my neighborhood who has bells attached to him... I am about 10 miles north of Boston in a ruralish area of town ... the last house on a dead end street, at the end of which and my property is sort of an abyss, it slopes down and is heavily forested to the street below ... lots of woodland creatures live down there and I often see hawks above... but a week or so ago I was outside and heard bells and thought I saw a hawk sail away and land in a tree in the abyss, but it was quick and I wasn't sure.. Just the other day I heard the bells again and looked, and it surely was a hawk flying into the distant trees ... any ideas of what this is about? An escapee, maybe... just wondering what you think.....and thanks ...
