The Last Resort!

What you are looking at is the Last resort. A quickly tied piece of baling twine that was used to hold the escaped pigs back inside their pen while I scoured the snow-covered barnyard for lumber so I could nail their escape hatch shut. Never a dull moment. More tomorrow!

I had a very young sow who decided to mash her fence down and run away, into traffic on a work morning. It took the dog catcher and myself an hour to catch her. I was in my flannel nightie, tights, unlaced work boots and a coat. I bet those commuters got a morning laugh that day. The animal control lady said it was the most fun she'd had in days and to call again if they got After three escapes the sow became ham.

Just when they thought they were out - you pulled them back in. (apologies to Al Pacino)

Thanks for sharing this adventure and for the morning chuckle! You tell a great story and I can see it vividly. You should submit this as a short story to Readers Digest or something. You might get a paycheck out of it!
