About Me

- Name: Jenna
- Location: Jackson, New York, United States
Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

On a farm, everything can be fixed with baling twine!
I had a very young sow who decided to mash her fence down and run away, into traffic on a work morning. It took the dog catcher and myself an hour to catch her. I was in my flannel nightie, tights, unlaced work boots and a coat. I bet those commuters got a morning laugh that day. The animal control lady said it was the most fun she'd had in days and to call again if they got away..lol. After three escapes the sow became ham.
Just when they thought they were out - you pulled them back in. (apologies to Al Pacino)
Baling twine and duct tape...cure-all and saviors when you don't have what you need right at hand!
Thanks for sharing this adventure and for the morning chuckle! You tell a great story and I can see it vividly. You should submit this as a short story to Readers Digest or something. You might get a paycheck out of it!
