If I Had Wings to Fly

Trailer for a recent documentary about Old Time music in western North Carolina. I just discovered this, and hope to download it soon to watch. But just the trailer alone made me want to go out into the backyard barefoot in a cotton dress and play my devil stick.

Thanks, I am now adding "Mole in the Ground " to my "to be learned" list of fiddle songs.

Or.... just get in your truck and mosey on down here to North Carolina for the real deal. Nothing could be finer! Best wishes.

This music reminded me of one of my all-time favorite films, Songcatcher, with Janet McTeer. I am certain you have seen it but if not, you'll love it. Some of the best old mountain music ever recorded . . .

What ddu said. Being an old time fiddle player myself I'm kind of intrigued by the teaser. It doesn't really seem to be what I'm familiar with.
