george

I will update everyone on the fair soon, but I feel like I should share some recent news. I came home to find that George had passed away. I do not know what from. I'm very sad he is not here now and I wasn't there for him then.

I took this photo Thurday morning, he was in my lap. His sister Lilly is mostly outside now. There are no cats in the house.

I have never been a cat person. I never will be.
But I was a George person.

Awww...I'm so sorry. I know you aren't a "cat person" but, seemed like George became part of your clan...it's always hard to lose a member of your family.

So sorry to read this! Maybe he didn't want to cause a scene in front of you. Regardless, he lived a good life with you.

I'm so sorry! The presence of our animals will always be missed! I just lost a special critter last week and it takes awhile to adjust to them not being there. Sorry for your loss Jenna :(

I'm sorry for your loss. Cats can be champions at hiding illness. I lost one a few years ago seemingly out of the blue. I usually have a house full of cats, so I'm definitely an experienced cat care-giver. It's hard to not play the "what-if" game with yourself, but sometimes even the best animal caregivers don't see a problem. You gave him a good life when he was in need. Blessings to you both. May he find warm places to nap in the sun wherever he might be.

I'm so sorry to hear about George. I was hoping to meet him at Antlerstock. As a former non-cat person myself, I know what it is to be claimed by a particular cat. His time with you was brief, but happy, and you'll never lose him entirely - his hair will be woven into your furniture the way his memory is woven into your live at CAF. Hugs to you and the dogs.

Oh noes! What a shock that must be, and unexpected. I'm very sorry for your loss. Amanda is right - one day they can seem totally fine, and the next day it's too late. As others have also pointed out, he had the best of all possible lives with you.

I popped in this morning to see if you had posted about the Fair. I was excited to live vicariously as I would love to go to the Fair myself one day. Then I saw your post about George. So sad to hear about it. I loved the pics of him, especially when he was curled up with the dogs. RIP George

I'm sorry to hear of George's passing. I was a George person too. Don't beat yourself up over not being with him. The way of the cat is usually to slink off and go alone anyway.

Aww no, very sorry to hear about George. I have a half Maine Coon called Frank and he is the most relaxed creature I've ever met. I think the most the important thing to remember is what a good life George had with you and try not to let the haters get you down.
