draft power parade
Earlier start than usual today, as I am getting ready to head out on an adventure. Today I'll be taking part in my first Washington Country Draft Animal Association event! I'll be riding in a cart with Patty and her Percheron, Steele. We'll be up in Fort Ann. And if I join the club today, I can ride with Merlin next weekend at the Arlington Vermont Pancake Breakfast and Parade! Photos and tales to come!P.S. As of last night, I am an AUNT! Welcome to the world Bryce! The little boy is named after the famed canyon, a favorite place of my sister and her husband.

There is nothing better than riding your horse. Have a wonderful time. Congratulations on the new nephew.
This morning's breakfast: homegrown eggs with homegrown, home processed, and home canned salsa. Also yogurt made by a recipe from the Homemade Pantry, a book recommended by Jenna. We sweeten it with raw honey. While eating, we watched happy cows on our property, cats enjoying the cat loft in the wood "castle", and a rare red fox loped across the yard.

Congratulations, Jenna!!!! I love the name Bryce ~ I looked up the meaning and it is of Scottish origin and means "of Britain". Enjoy your nephew ~ I have 5 grandsons and little boys are so much fun!!!!!
