virtual swap meet!
So here's an idea. Let's have a virtual swap meet. It works like this. You post something you need. Then, post what you are looking for. Then offer your email address. When you've done this and we've collected a fair number of comments, we can start scanning what other people have to offer and contact the person who you can make a decent trade with. Email each other, and figure out shipping and addresses, and trade online. I'll start:NEED: I need a western style saddle pad with good padding and in decent condition. Fleece would be preferred. Color doesn't matter.
OFFER: I have to trade: 4 bars of homemade goats milk mint soap and a 12oz bear of honey from the hive. Email me at Jenna@itsafarwalk.com if you have said pad!

Jenna, yesterday finished reading your book and it inspired me so. My mom has always been homesteading and I told her to write about all her experiences. We live in Brazil, originally from the Netherlands, but my mother was really born in Java, Indonesia. She uses all of her experiences to do stuff. She is 82 now but still active and gardening when possible. Tks so much for being such an inspiration... Keep you posted of our progress! Big, big hug!

Just finished reading your book, it was so inspiring.My mother, who was born in Indonesia (Java) married a dutch guy and had me in Holland. Now we live in Brazil (100 km from the biggest city, São Paulo). She has been homesteading since they got here (60 years ago) and I told her to write down her experiences, here we don't have anything like your book. HAVE: Heirloom veggie seeds! I have a LOT of seeds so let me know what you are looking for and I'll check my stash; there's no way I could list them here...
I also have some jasmine-scented, blue colored, shea butter soap. REALLY nice stuff! The bars are small, so you would get quite a few of them in trade.

Have: Electric flour mill - it's used, but not by me. I have looked it up online and it looks like you can get information about how to use it pretty easily. My mom's friend gave it to me when she heard I was homesteading, but I would rather make cheese than grind flour!
