storm warnings

A series of storms are heading in. I left work early to get critters fed and milked before the hail and winds whip. I've been aching for a proper storm, as it clears my head and heals my farm. I can meditate to the sounds of thunder and rain as grass and vegetables grow, flowers bloom for the bees, and the horse shakes out the dust-come-mud from his mane and tail.

Every rainfall is a new beginning.

I hope you get healing storms and nothing destructive. The radar is looking pretty scary.

If I had a dollar for every time the weatherman said we had bad weather coming, I would be a rich man.

My personal favorite is when the forecasts says "Chance of rain: 50%". They actually get paid to say it might rain today, it might not.

weather in southern California is truly a joke-- sunny, with a chance of sun. I miss rain and hail and thunder. *sigh*

Here in Honolulu it's usually "partly cloudy, partly sunny with a chance of windward/mauka showers". It's usually correct because SOMEWHERE here it's either raining or sunny!

Beryl is 'barreling" through NC - oh blessed rains! Yes, a rain event is purifying and so refreshing. There is new zoysia sod in my yard- so let the rains roll in. Enjoy the rain show, Jenna.

We just got a beautiful, much-needed soaking from Beryl today. Plumped my pea pods right up--yum, like candy from the ground!

We had our first good rain in months, this morning. I was so excited that I ran out and stood in it until the lightning got too bad. It's hard to express, but I had to fight back tears as the rain poured down on me, and I'm sure my poor little garden must have felt the same way after having to drink nasty city water for so long.

Glad all your chores are done, so you can safely enjoy your storm. :)
