Making The List!

GOOD Magazine is doing a series on Young Farmer's across America and I made the list! They used a collection from Farmplate's Young Farmers Series and I am proud of my good company. I've sat on panels with some of these folks, shared billing in essay collections, and a few are even fellow New Yorkers. You can see the list here, and check out GOOD Magazine online, this coming Monday, to see their slideshow and story!

Thanks for sharing and congrats! I’m going to send this link to the next co-worker who gives me a hard time about spending so much time gardening, getting rabbits and chickens, and wanting to make a life out of being self-sufficient on a chunk of acreage…love that there are people out there my age making it work with smiles on their faces. Having fun reading through the profiles and will check this magazine out.

Congratulations to Jenna & your fellow farmers. I am inspired by the hard work & devotion that you all have in continuing the heritage breeds, heirloom vegetables & the old ways of farming. You deserve all of the recognition & kudos that you get. Proud to be a farmer:)

congrats Jenna, not surprising that you are on the list.

Jenna i was wondering if you knew any one that wanted roosters, i have six to many. it is hard for me to ask, all my animals are rescued but the rooster are to many for my hens and although gentle roosters they are, the hens do not feel the same . I have a lump in my throat just typing this and would love them to go to homes that might just want them as pets. You have such a following and i am willing to drive. i am in bennington.

again, this is hard, i am learning that parting is for the good. ( insert tears)
