Have you ever read Farm City by Novella Carpenter? She does tallies like this throughout and they always made me smile.

1 borrowed Jersey heifer- til Oct. or Nov. to help eat all the grass with the sheep

6 too many lazy cats
1 truck driving husband
i farmer wife-ME! and loving every minute
plus about 3/4 of an acre in market gardens up and running and ready to go to market next week

I had to think about this. I have alot of animals. But ya know what? They are all very useful animals and help me so much. Even though I do alot of work for them, they gove us so much.

5 kids (three still live at home, although all five, plus a daughter's boyfriend were here last night)

(the goats and sheep are waiting for our barn to be done before they move here)
Working on getting a couple hives (maybe next year??)
Know what chicken breeds we want, as soon as the barn is done, we'll place the order :-)
I've got peas, onions and potatoes in the ground. Real planting day is in a couple weeks - when all five kids will help me plant as their Mother's Day present. <3

Rabbit, we breed Chanteclers (white, buff and partridge). It is the only Canadian breed and very well adapted to cold winters. The breed almost disappeared a few years ago but is now gaining in popularity. We sell chicks to homesteaders who wish to have a hardy breed that lays all year long (they do not require as much daytime light to lay). We are in Canada, just across a bridge from Montreal. We do ship hatching eggs to the rest of the country but not chicks... And, we are unable to ship to the USA :(
