Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

What's that old expression about wood heating you 3 times - when you cut it, when you stack it and when you burn it. I think you may have just added another, when you work with your pony to haul it! Way to go Jasper.
So glad to see Jasper getting some work time in! Ponies need jobs otherwise they will find something to do... like learn how to open a gate, or find that lead rope hanging nearby and chew it in two...
So glad Jasper got put to work! Sometimes ponies will find things to do if they don't have a job. Like figure out how to open a gate or chew that new lead rope in two that you left hanging just a little to close.
doesn'it feel good to see the wood pile growing again after the winter ?
