We all watch it here too. And Monday night's THE night!!! My OH just treated us to the first series on DVD so we will watch it again on these cold and wet "winter" evenings - and there was me thinking it should be spring . . .

I totally agree. I'm rooting for Daenerys to be queen.

GoT on TV is just as good as the books - great effort by the makers. I'm deep in the 2nd book, and it's good stuff. Here's hoping for Series 1 on DVD for my birthday this year....

Game of Thrones is the only reason I haven't cancelled HBO yet!

Love this show, but we had to give up HBO, so I have missed the last two episodes. Luckily, we have all the books on Audio, so I can listen them if I want to. Hubby has heard ALL of them.

It is such a fantastic show. Last night's episode was especially shocking in some ways.

I don't even own a TV. I watch it on Amazon Prime on my computer for 2.99 a week!

We just watched the first season via Netflix - loved it. I like the HBO series much better than the books. The characters on the series are more vibrant and the casting is great, with just a couple of exceptions IMHO. HBO has also done a good job of keeping the plot organized and tight, something the books occasionally did not. I didn't know Amazon Prime was offering it. I've been thinking of subscribing to AP ever since I bought a Kindle. I want to use their library.

This is my favorite show on TV right now (and considering that Mad Men is on TV, that's saying something!)

I have been plowing through the books too. It's not geeky to read thousands of pages of fantasy, is it? ;)

Love this show too. We're saving it up to watch all together (neither of us does all that well with cliffhangers, so we like to not have to wait).

Sunday night is must see TV - Mad Men followed by Game of Thrones. Rest of the week the TV stays off.

Fresh Air (or maybe On Point, I get those NPR shows confused) did a great interview with the author last summer. If you missed it, you can probably still find it in their archives online.

I knew you would :-) you have to read the books after you have finsihed reading about Jamie and Claire.

Argggh, I don't have access to season 2 yet! But I'm in the process of re-reading the books and that trailer just gave me the chills!

Not geeky at all ... I've read all the books and just signed up for HBO, watching last season On Demand as I catch up While I am enjoying the series on tv, the books are awesome, hanging on every word, the end of every paragraph .....

I love it too -- had a hard time at first, so many characters to introduce. But now that we're in the second season, I'm totally geeked out over it!

I am enjoying season 1 of the show (I adore Sean Bean), but the books were unbelievable. I couldn't put them down and am now in agony waiting for the next one to be written!
