Love love love- thanks for opening a new door for us . So much easier and more fun with a friend by my side. Steele is "an honest" 17 hands - no shoes. He weighs about 1850lbs.

So funny- I saw this photo before I read the previous post and I was thinking to myself- Jenna looks quite slim today! My apologies to Merlin for not recognizing his weight loss as well!

How many hands is Merlin? I know Fell ponies are big as ponies go, but he actually doesn't look as teeny next to 17 hands as I thought he would. I wish there existed a pony big enough to carry me. I like my horse, but there's nothing like a pony. They're just special.

He was very pleased - those are relaxed ears! He was quiet and did everything asked of him - rode beautifully for the trainer and me. Loaded himself on and off the trailer and stood quietly while we ate lunch and visited. Couldn't ask for a nicer boy. (NFS) (not 4 sale)💓

I am 5'3" and Merlin's shoulder is at my neck. He is 13.2 hands, Steele is 17 hands!

Ah, yes, see I'm 5'8" and heavier than I should be. I think I'd be a better match for Steele than a pony! My horse is 16 hands and manages me just fine. I still think I might adopt a little old pony just for the shenanigans though. What's one more troublemaker on the ranch?

watched Touch last night ... there was the most beautiful shiny black horse ... immediately I thought of your Merlin.... not too tall, feathered hocks and sturdily built, flowing mane ... omg... if that's what Merlin looks like ... no wonder you fell in love ....
