Tim took this with a super long lense as that horse was galloping ahead of us, what a rush! I put my hand in the air in joy.

On our way back to the barn Patty told me its not a good thing, or "correct" to gallop an animal in a cart, "but it is so damn fun..." she said in a wry smile, and I loved her for it!

As a witness to the scene, I would like to point out that there was a fair amount of YEEEE-HAAAAWWWing going on, as well.

That is REX! patty's 11 year old English Sheep Dog, who was not as fast as that horse and since he is closer to tims lense, seems HUGE!

Birchthorn coming soon!

Looks like a lot of fun, but remember to keep both hands on the wheel when you're driving .

Great photo. When you are old and grey you can look at that and remember that first fierce joy of a canter behind a big draft butt. What fun! And good on you for the unharnesseing, that is a big job!
