Gordon Ramsay is coming to town!

The Cambridge Hotel, the place many of you stay when visiting CAF from out of town, is going to be taken over by Gordon Ramsay for his series "Hotel Hell" which, I think, means he goes to historic hotels around the area and takes over the menu. Big doings for this little burg. Read the story here!

Off camera he is an incredibly intelligent individual and a remarkable business man. Has anyone seen his documentary about sharkfishing and finnin? It is available on YouTube and is remarkable. Disturbing but remarkable. He is a man who runs much, much deeper than the TV persona.

Can I just say that while he is a nice person outside of the kitchen, that man on screen embodies every reason I left my Culinary Arts career behind. There really is no need for that in the kitchen. My first job was wonderful, the Chef a delight to work for but then I almost had my hand chopped off by an irate sous chef at my second job. I decided to start working towards my dream of owning a farm instead. Hopefully someday.

Wouldn't walk across the street to see him. That is, unless I could "remake his mouth and his attitude."

His three part series about India was fascinating and he was quite polite. His use of foul language on his other shows and the temper tantrums are excessive.

I am with Meredith A here...I didn't know who he was either? I was just excited to see a TV show in town, and about food.

Is he a mean guy? Or a personality, like Larry the Cable Guy?

Meh - used to be a fan, back when he did the early episodes of the original version of Kitchen Nightmares. Now I'm just tired of all the yelling. I get that it's a TV persona, and a lot of that probably has to do with being on Fox, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
