Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

How long will you be taking orders for signed copies?
Connie is so nice; she is putting aside a book for me until I can pay her next Friday. Have fun!
*Squeal*! I'm always getting the time zones mixed up, so I may call too late, but I will try and catch you there! :D
Nice talking with you Goat Song!!! Your book will be mailed out soon! I bet I signed it tonight!
Debi, Battenkill will sell them to you signed long as they are in print and I am allowed to sign them!
Yes indeed, it was really good to talk with you, Jenna! :D Thanks for letting me interrupt your day!
I want to buy one of your books Jenna!! I was going to get it a couple weeks ago when you originally posted, but I was low on cash. I want to support you and your small business bookstore. What is the best way to order? I live in California.
Shana
So bummed I missed the time! Got home late from work out here on the left coast. Next time!
Shana, call or just go to battenkillbooks.com and there is an easy form there to fill out and pay online! if you want gibson to sign it too, just write a note about wanting his pawprint.
I emailed yesterday to Battenkill for Barnheart so I suppose you will be signing mine soon. I got a confirmation from them. Yahoo! This is my Christmas present to myself. Thanks Jenna.
I just ordered the book!! I even got to talk with Jenna on the phone...how fun is that? I hope this book (and all of the rest) have wild success. I've seen chick days and Made From Scratch in local bookstores here in Sonoma County. I expect it's only a short amount of time before I see Barnheart here too. :) Jenna, I think it's not going to be too long before $97.00 for a well cap is not such a big deal. You have great things coming your way...I just KNOW it!
I was going to buy the book from Battenkill then I decided to support my local bookstore. I called them on Thursday afternoon to see if they got it in. They had 1 copy and would hold it for me. I raced down to Chester County Book and Music Company right after work. I couldn't wait to get home and put on a pot of tea and start to read. I stayed up late and got about half way through.
I am happy to say I finished the book this evening and am just smiling from ear to ear. I will be sharing it with my daughter as soon as she returns Made From Scratch.
Thanks for a wonderful read and I know my daughter and her boyfriend will be just as inspired as I am.
I just wanted to say, because someone mentioned Chick Days - anyone that teaches poultry classes to beginners should invest in this book. It's an excellent teaching tool, and it's now my #1 recommended book to beginner chicken keepers! All the info they need, nothing extraneous, easy and fun to follow format. Well done, Jenna.
Love this photo with Gibson in the picture!
I must say your article is astonishing. The clarity of it is simply amazing and no doubt you are a proficient in this field.
