Cool! I would have to pick "Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog." But the Tam series sounds like a fun read. Last year I read a book about a shepherd in England or Scotland. I think it was called "A Shepherd's Watch."
Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep is my choice although I would not be disappointed with any of them.
Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog
I would love to win this book! When my flock gets bigger I want to get a dog to do the running around for me...this would be great to read and prepare for the future.
So happy your doing this. ;)

I think the story of Toss, in "Sheepdog Glory", would be a wonderful book to read.
Awesome! I would pick Working with a Stockdog since I am, in fact, planning on working with a stock dog. I was just looking at the up-and-coming list and interestingly, my border collie, Quinn(who passed away last year) used to train with Mike Neary. Accidentally, Quinn ran a poor sheep right into a fence, how embarrassing. Looking forward to seeing his book on Outrun Press!
Love Outrun Press! I would like to read Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep. Thanks for doing this giveaway.
Would love "Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep" by Benjamin and Wall. Thanks!
I'd love to have a copy of Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep. It's hard to choose amongst all the good reads, however.
I'd love to have a copy of Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep, but it's not an easy decision given all the great reads from Outrun Press!
Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep
Great idea!
I would choose T's book, American Lambs. Her poetry and essays are so compelling.

Working with a Stockdog is my top choice. I'd love to add this to my "border collie books" collection!! I've already got some of the others....
I'd love to read "American Lamb." It sounds interesting, especially as I am acquainted with Albert Payson Terhune's collie books.
Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep is on my wish list! Great idea!
i just got a puppy, "wull". he is at that frightening stage of life when all things are new and scary. he is 14 wks. today he went down stairs for the first time. yay! no widdle at the top!
he is at his best sound asleep, feet twitching faster and faster.
is he dreaming of sheep?
Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep is on my wishlist! Thanks for the gift.
I would choose "Top Trainers talk about starting a sheepdog". I would love to know where I should start with my buddy Dash!
It's a hard choice between Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep and Working A Stockdog. Either would be good.
I have American Lamb and have read Top Trainers Talk about Starting a Sheepdog.
I just discovered this blog last week and really enjoy it.
I'd love "Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep"
I have a just-one-year-old Standard Schnauzer who is getting "bored" of herding our 11-year-old bulldog and four cats (according to my husband, who has plans for a flock sometime soon). Like Gibson, his (the dog's, not my husband's) is omgomgomgsomethingsmovingmusttellitwheretogo. The Top Trainers book is my pick!
Top Trainers!
Fun! I would choose, 'Top Trainers Talk About Starting A Sheepdog'. Thanks for hosting this! :)
What wonderful choices, for myself, I'd love to read American Lambs.

This is too cool! Since I'm always wanting to learn more I would choose "Top Trainers Talk About Starting A Sheepdog." What a Christmas present that would be! Thank you Outrun Press.
My choice is, "Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep?" (color version). It would go to my K-5 school library. My students are crazy about dogs.
Thank you!
Teresa
Wow how generous!
I would pick American Lambs.
I would enjoy reading "SHeepdog Glory"
Looks like a great bunch of books. I think I would like American Lamb. But I also need help with training. What a great giveaway!
American Lambs
hmmmm....tough choice! I'll go for Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep.
Love the blog!
1st choice: Tam's Pup. 2nd choice: Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep. However, I would be happy with any of the books.
I would love to read American Lambs. It sounds like a great book to curl up with on these increasingly cold nights!
I would love to win "Working with Stockdogs". I am headed to the midwest to a cattle ranch and the owners have an untrained dog (Hanging Tree dog)that is a pain. I would love to get another dog and train it to be a helpful assistant. I have had 4 Kelpies but had never worked them on stock. This would be great.
Great contest-- my choice, "Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog"
Working With Stockdogs
I actually had a dream the other night that I was giving commands to someone's dog.
I'd choose Sheepdog Glory. It looks like a terrific read!
Wow! I too would love to have "Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog"
Thanks for the opportunity!!
"Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep" is an AWESOME BOOK!!! (I already own it)....as is "Top Trainers..." another invaluable collection of insights and thoughts (also already on my shelf).
I am intrigued by any of the others. Thanks to all of you for spotlighting such good reading. ;-)
I'd like to have Working With A Stockdog by Anna Guthrie
Working With a Stock Dog would be my choice! How cool is this give away? We aren't quite there yet, but we just signed on for a farm and sheep are in our future!
www.thehalfwaycoop.blogspot.com
Add me to the list wanting Working With A Stockdog by Anna Guthrie. I already have a copy (it's a must-read for ranchers or farmers as well as novice handlers), but I'd love another to give as a gift!
I'd have to go with American Lambs.
Thanks for the give-away!
I think I would love ANY of the books, but "Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog" is of particular interest to me!
I'm torn between titles (really want to read the Tam series), but I think I'll go with "Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog"
Such an awesome giveaway!
Since I have a "pound puppy" working dog mix, Bella, who I would love to start training to help with our small flock, I would love to have "Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog"! Thanks for the chance to win!
i think the tam series would be awesome!
It was a tough choice but I picked "Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep?" I read reviews about it and I have a warm and fuzzy feeling already that it will help me in my Border Collie rescue and with helping newbie owners to appreciate and help their BC's become the best that they can be. For those of you who haven't read it yet, I do recommend you read "The Dog Wars". Having lived through them back when AKC was discussing BC's being recognized as a separate class (they already were in Miscellaneous Class, but most folks don't remember that) I think it is important that all BC folks know the background. For those around then, you may recall an online blog was finally shut down and a new one called "BC Nice" was formed as everyone was getting SO riled up and you had to "be nice" to post on it. LOL.
Definitely "Top Trainers". My Australian Shepherd *really* wants to know what he's supposed to spend the day doing.
Working with a stock dog. Our collies growing up were always cattle dogs, we never owned sheep and when I move back to the ranch I think I'll need to get my legs back under me with a good horse, a good dog, and a herd of cattle before ever even attempting to raise sheep!
Sheep Dog Glory
Thank you!
working with a stock dog. I would love to add this to my library keep up the wonderful work Jenna i love your blog
The book that interests me the most is Dog Wars because I have never heard of this controversy between the working dog community and the AKC, and I have my doubts about the AKC. And no, that book does nothing to prepare me for my eventual life. My second choice would be either Top Trainers or Working with a Stock dog because I have a rescue Aussie mix that herds kittens, children, and rabbits. I cannot keep her busy enough. Thanks
Hard to choose but "Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep" would be my choice!
Thanks!
I would definately choose Barnhart. I grew up on a farm and was so eager to leave it, now I dream about it and miss is horribly. Barnhart.
"Working with a Stock Dog" is my first choice. Understanding the relationship between a working dog and their livestock is the solid foundation from which the shepherd develops their own relationship with the working dog. I find that opening myself to trying to see the world as my dog does allows both of us to forge a closer bond and therefore our work together becomes seamless.
Do border Collies Dream of Sheep; although almost anything would be great....i own several books from Outrun press..They do a great job and thanks.
I would love to read "Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog"!
I'd pick Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog.
I would take the book about Trainers starting pups, because my pups ate my copy! Great Blog!
Thanks for the chance! The Dog Wars sounds great!
I've enjoyed reading your blog since my sister turned me on to it. It evokes memories from when I was a "homesteader" off the utility grid in Northern CA for over 10 years. The ups and downs of that life are, if nothing else, character-building:). Having read the other books by Outrun Press, I would like to have American Lambs please. And thanks for all your efforts.
I would choose "Working with a stock Dog." I live in a house in suburban Florida. Why would I choose this book? Because I won't always live in suburban Florida. My farm is up ahead, over that ridge, and a working dog will be part of it.
Thanks,
Karen in Florida

It has been years since I have had a Border Collie, but I will have another some day - hopefully with plenty of work to do.
I would love "Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep" because I have all of the other books :-) Loved the "Tam" series, would sure enjoy more of the same!
Gerianne Darnell
"Working With A Stockdog". All are great choices, and have several.
I would love to have Top Trainers Talk about Starting a Sheepdog. We have a six month old Australian Shepherd that we are going to use with our flock of 11 sheep. :)
I'd have to go for... "Working with a Stock Dog"!
I would love to have a copy of The Dog Wars. My border collie's breeder told me a bit about this, and I would really like to know more.
I would pick "Working with a Stockdog" because I had it for a week and loaned it to someone!!! BTW, the Top Trainers book is awesome, too.
Sheepdog Glory! What a neat giveaway!
I'd go for this one: Top Trainers Talk About Starting a Sheepdog ......because my dog and I need all the help we can get.
Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep....however I think my dogs dream of chasing cats...especially the ones they live with.
