a bit lighter
I have a tiny bit of good news to share: I have dropped 8 pounds. Through a healthier diet, more fruits and vegetables, and 5 workouts a week I managed to easily shed eight pounds. I can't fit into certain jeans (too big!) and I have more energy than I can remember. I feel good, and plan to lose 35 total pounds. Wish me luck!

Could be all that farm work, too!!
YEA YOU! Can't figure out what else to say except that I am doing a little happy dance on your behalf. Good going. You have worked at it and it has shown.
That's is wonderful Jenna! I began my wheat free diet 4 weeks ago and have lost 5 lbs. You have me beat! I feel so much better already. Even 5 lbs. will make your jeans fit better. Keep it up. I will be. I want to loose 20 lbs. but am doing this to be healthy not only for weight loss.
The Unbearable Light of Being, a fabulous book by Milan Kundera and a fabulous way to feel. Kudos to you, Jenna!
Sylvan, and both of us Czech!
Good for you!! I have set a goal to lose 35 lb over the next year.
Congrats! Well done. Keep up the good work.
YAY! Great job! I've lost 37 pounds since we moved into our home in June...LOVE!
...I need to lose 105 more (at least)...
Keep up the good work! I know how hard it is to get if off but you are on your way!
Since we moved to our dream homestead a few months ago, my wife and I have both noticeably thinned. My wife said, "Hey, we found a great diet plan, and it only cost us a couple hundred thousand dollars."
Great going !!!!
Nicely done! That 8 lbs goes a long way on us vertically challenged gals ;)
That's awesome Jenna! Congrats!
You seem determined & just know you can do it.
Yay! It's a little battle once you get started, but once you start to feel better, and coincidentally look better, it becomes a fun challenge to see how far you can go and how good you can feel. Keep up the good work!!!
Also, don't know if your interested, but like bree, I have gone off wheat(gluten) for the last two months, and have decided to stick with it. It's a little difficult making the transition, but I feel SOOO much better it's amazing. My mind has cleared immensely (I always felt like I had a fog in my head), and my extreme lethargy has all but vanished! I used to me so tired and felt like my muscles had no energy to move let alone get anything done...after the first 2-3 weeks off of wheat(gluten) I felt normal again. It's worth a try right?
If you up for the challenge try going 4 weeks off gluten and see if you can tell a difference. :)

Congrats, girl!
congrats.
Wishing you luck! Hefting those hay bayles can't hurt either.
Like many of your other dreams, your concrete, sensible, steps are adding up to a journey of accomplishment. You go girl!
Congrats! The renewed energy from a lifestyle/diet change really makes you want to keep with it.
I went off wheat, corn, potato, refined sugar, and cow dairy last July because of some major health problems. I've never had so little fatigue and it's wonderful!! Luckily, I don't seem to have a gluten problem, so I replaced my wheat with spelt. White spelt tastes no different from white wheat and it would seem that you can do anything with spelt that you can with wheat. Our homemade spelt breads are yummy and don't exhaust me like wheat used to.
That's great! Keep up the good work! We all know you can do it!
Congrats Jenna!
Congrats! A few weeks ago the wife and I started a diet as well. Jenny Creig. In the past 8 weeks or so, I lost a total of 35 lbs, and plan to lose about another 95.
