Dogs are hotel experts and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If a hotel/resort has nicer rooms for people with dogs than most hotels have for people without dogs: it's a winner. At the Seven Springs Ski Lodge/Hotel complex I was put in the "pet friendly" wing. Usually "pet friendly" means smoking rooms. I don't smoke, and while I don't mind the smell of fresh smoke at all/stale smoke makes me gag. So when I was given a beautiful room with a door that lead to an "exercise area" right outside my porch complete with a poo-bag station and waste buckets... I was impressed.
Gibson was impressed with the sheets. There was much audacious rolling about while I tried to read.
Welcome back home, Gibson and Jenna-- So glad you're back--totally missed your posts and the daily smiles they bring while you were at the fair. Glad you had a good time!
In my house it's "mopping the bed", mopper-in-chief is Midgie, a Pomeranian. The best is when he goes under the sheets and turns around and around until he hog-ties himself and falls over. Cracks me up every time!
I am so sorry I didn't get to make it to the MEN fair. I wanted to go so bad it hurt, but I had more important things to do. We went and looked at a 12.5 acre farm we are planning to buy. Well, it's not a farm yet but it will be once I get my hands on it. ;)
Too funny! I have that exact photo of my dog taken two weeks ago at a hotel. We had a pet friendly room which was amazing! Rudy had his own queen bed and they do tend to gravitate towards the pillows don't they? He looked so so so happy flopping around especially when he realized it was his bed, all to himself. That lasted most of the evening until he realized OUR bed with both of us in it looked even better. (he's not allowed upstairs in our house which is where our bedroom is, but he knows all about sharing a bed from camping and traveling and we know how he feels about the situation.)
Also finding it funny that others are mentioning the sneezing! Rudy sneezes whenever he's too happy to contain himself, and then he rubs his nose between his paws like it's the itchiest thing in the world, but none of my friends dogs do. And here I thought we had an oddball on our hands!
Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

In our house, that act is known as "snorfulling", which is usually followed by a series of sneezes...and a happy dog face. :)
Gibson sure does look satisfied!
snorfulling! I love it
Love!

@K Jean!!! How funny - we refer to that as "Snarfle-Snort" and yes, it always ends with sneezing. :)
Awwwww what a pretty face!
