I was just thinking about getting some new ones myself. My 14 hens are turning 2 and 1 year old August 1 and you need new ones to remind you how cute they can be. (also to provide tiny eggs in February!!)
And having the hens raise them is absolutely the easiest way to go. I have 50 Rainbow Rangers and although they aren't a numb as the Cornish Xs they really could use lessons from an older hen.
Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

There is nothing quite as cute as a fluffy yellow chicken.
I can just hear the little cheep-cheep-cheep-cheep-cheep-cheep's!
