He is incredibly cute! You're lambs have caused me to rethink what I truly want out of a sheep. Incredibly soft wool with a high micron count and the high maintenance price tag or something more hardy, rustic, primitive. Does the breed seem to be scrapie resistant? Hoof rot? Will they tolerate the summers between I-75 and I-40? From the little bit that I've read, they lend themselves well to the cold north but have not read much about the warmer south.
Scotties don't have luxury wool. It is bad ass wool. The kind of stuff tartans, kilts, and tweed is made from. I am blending it with the longwools to make it a little softer, but it will be a wool for serious outerwear. The kind of stuff that fights hypothermia and is worn sailing and hiking: not baby blankets!
Is he as sweet as he is cute? Wish I could have a sheep or 2, but here in FL it's too hot for them to be anything but miserable in summer, so not happening 'til I move further north....someday.
Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

May I bury my face in his softest fur and just inhale his luscious scent ?~? I promise to give him back in an hour or so. You have done good Jenna.

Wish I could hold him and love on him.

That is a sweet little lamb, Jenna. I clicked on Tim's name and saw some of his photos. He is really good.
When Lynda is done, I am next in line to bury my face in his soft wool. I promise to pass him on, eventually.
