hang a picture, feed a dream, and win some sal!

I'm happy to announce that there is now a Cold Antler Farm print shop! You can now take a piece of Cold Antler home, while supporting a new talent in the Veryork Community. Award-winning photographer, Tim Bronson, takes a nice picture. Like I aspire to be a farmer, Tim aspires to follow his own path as an artist of shutter speeds, glass, and pixels. He has posted a collection of his farm photos (mostly Cold Antler, but some other local sheep and barns) for you to peruse. These images are ready to own for as little as five dollars a print. These come to you directly from a professional photo lab, shipped safely in a plastic protective sleeve so they arrive in mint condition. They are perfect for framing, gifts, and hanging for inspiration on your wall. I'll be posting a few around this farmhouse, that's for darn sure. I think I need the photographic evidence to even believe I got through lambing season....

To enter to win the print of sal, check out the gallery at Tim's site and leave a comment here (or on his blog if you prefer) letting us both know what photos you like, and what you would like to see more of! One commenter will be chosen randomly Friday night to win the 11x14 signed print of smilin' Sal. Good luck and thank you for all of your support, whatever the dream!

UPDATE! Devouring The Seasons, you are the random winner of the print!!! Please email me at jenna@itsafarwalk.com, and I'll have it in the mail to you Monday. Congrats! And I hope those of you who didn't win will consider supporting Tim's work and taking a piece of Cold Antler Farm home with you.

Not sure if you want this on your site or his, but I love the pictures of Finn and of the baby sheep. My favorite is the lamb with the red barn background. Thanks!

I bought an 11x14 of Sal (the same one we are giving away) for my own house. It is magical. There's an option to buy these big 20x30" canvases and I am going to save up for one eventually. That photo deserves it.

The lambs and sheep are great - I'd love to see more of the whole flock, or the sheep interacting.

I'm a sucker for dogs, too, but I'm less likely to buy pictures of other peoples' dogs - I've got three of my own.

However, I'd love to see photos of Gibson working with the sheep eventually - that would be wall-worthy.

I love the Lamboflauge photo and the one of the barbed wire with the ice on it. I would like to see more of that big beautiful rooster! I love the still shot of him (would love see one with his feet). Those three would tie together very nicely on my wall, along with the big one of Sal that I'm hoping to win!

I have to admit- Sal gets a smile from me every time I see that photo! The first time I saw it, I laughed so hard that I snorted... and anything that gets a snort-laugh out of me ought to go on my wall! :D I also love all the lamb close-ups, and baby Gibson is adorable! Nice work, Tim!!

I love the 4th picture of the Blackface Ewe standing in front of a tree with a lamb behind the tree. It looks like the Ewe is looking at herself in a mirror showing her childhood. Picture #35 of Gibson peeking at the camera was WAY too cute not to mention. :)

I absolutely love the uber-close up shots of the lamb faces... they just have so much character. The Scottish sheep you have are ideal for these pictures because of their interesting and unique color patterns. I would also love to see some more pictures of the sheep in a nature setting (aka: their pasture, etc), there's just something peaceful about sheep in a field. (^: Speaking of looking peaceful... that shot of Sal is priceless! xxfingers crossedxx

I may be especially emotional right now, but looking through these photos brought tears to my eyes because they are just so absolutely beautiful. I think my favorite is the one with Gibson's face in Jenna's hands. The look in his eyes is unbelieveably dear. Love them. Swallowing the lump in my throat right now. Ok, I'll stop now

I love the "Shadows" and "Lambouflage". I also like the ones with near the tree. I think it's the sheep and the environment together that grab me. Sal is just amazing looking in the give-away photo.

Ooooh. I like the Spring Chicken picture, with what looks like a couple weeks old Barred Rock chick? And of course how can you not like the picture of Sal with the hay! I agree with the other poster about background in the picture--can't wait until it's a green background too. I also agree that the pictures of chickens and lambs (and rabbits please =) ) are more neutral than pictures of your dog, which people see as more individualized and so they are probably less likely to go for a picture of someone else's dog.

Hope I win!

I spent a good deal of time looking @ Tim's photo gallery -- he has such a wonderful eye. Although I am very partial to nature and animal scenes, I found his other themes quite captivating. I absolutely love the Lambouflage photo and will try to save up to buy it. It will have a place of honor, as it will be the only lamb on my farm. Though, all these photos of sheep & lambs (not to mention your blogs about them), makes me want to add sheep to my livestock list. Please count me in for the drawing on the Smiling Sal photo - It's a never-ending sense of wonder how animals show their joy & contentment. All my Best, Teresa H. @ Oak Tree Farm
