Hahahaa, priceless! I remember running from my uncle's gander growing up, he looked an awful lot like that!
Neighbor's had geese when I was growing up... they were mean, so as a result, they scare the bejeebers out of me!
Those hens don't seem all too comfortable with him around, either! He looks like a t-rex roaring a threat, lol.
I've had a few days like that :)

Well, I guess we can be glad he's doing his job of protecting the babies. But I remember geese from when I was three and lived on a farm. Even my DAD was afraid of them! Of course, I was, too! I think that was a healthy and reasonable fear.
Great photo...I can almost hear it some 600 miles away.
That is a great photo! I agree with Flartus looks like a T Rex that is very pissed off!

Yikes, John, no. Tim's married. He comes up here for a photo essay we're working on for a magazine project and takes a bunch of shots on big farm days like lambing or shearing (hundreds at a time ) and delivers me a big folder to pick from and use as I wish on the blog.
That's the deal: I get to use the photos and he has the rights to sell the prints. All the recent photos are from shearing day. I just spread them out!
I love geese! The man is doing his job.
i am timid about birds and that photo doesn't help (he looks like he means business), but i still am getting a kick out of it!
He'd have me out of there in the blink of an eyelid. Great photo by the way, despite Cyrus' dislike of camera-wielding people.

Another great pic! Reminded me of when I was young and my mom's friend owned a couple if geese. She swore they were better than guard dogs. In fact, she carried a wiggle ball bat with her when she went out in the pasture where they were.
What a great photo! Makes me miss my geese, though. :(
This picture is perfect, and is just a mirror image of myself today.
