ashe

Little Ashe is a firecracker! Like their respective cities, Knox is laid back and curious and she's all color and action. When Knox and his mom were let out of the jug he clomped out like a drunk clydesdale. But little Ashe bolted out in a joyful noise and then zigzagged all over the pasture, bleating like an idiot. It was quite the site. As of my last check, both lambs were on the hillside by their mothers with round bellies and brass numbers on their ears. Tonight might bring them more playmates, as both Liset and the yearling are due any moment now...

Such a cutie... I love baby lambs! Our twin girls are now well over 6 weeks old, and I love to grab 'em up and just cuddle them. Of course, after about 10 seconds, they want down. They have such a sweet baby smell.

I can't picture Knoxville or Asheville, but I can picture your lambs from the way you describe them.

There is nothing as cute as a day old lamb. So cute and stumbly. I can't wait for ours to be born, but we breed late intentionality so I'll have to be patient.

I love your naming theme! Your flock will be pretty huge by the time you name a lamb Minne after my city. The lambs are so perfect, and they really do look like muppets. No, 100 times cuter than muppets.

She has "cute" in bucketfuls - determination too by the expression on her face!

I watched a heifer calf less than an hour old yesterday afternoon, climbing - despite still-wobbly legs - up quite a steep bank whilst mum worried at the bottom. Then mum had a bright idea and came up the lesser slope behind a tree to meet her and guide her back down again.

Love the description of both of them. You can almost see the fire in her eyes.

What adorable babies! I'm planning to keep a special eye on Ashe as I'm lucky enough to be living in her namesake city.

I love lambs! They are so much fun. I grew up raising hampshires and am looking forward to having sheep again. I was wanting to get hampshires again, but after seeing how cute these babies are, I may reconsider. ;) P.S.(Just wait till all the lambs are born and you have a mini flock of lambs running around and playing in the field...there's nothing quite like it and it is such fun watching their games and seeing how silly they can be.) Have fun!
