Congrats Jenna!
Aw bless! Well done!
Congratulations! Hope everyone is doing well.
About time! :)
Congrats.
I hope he makes it... He was quickly cleaned off by him mom, I found him on my 2Am rounds. I got them into the pen (Mom followed me right in, chortling!) and then made sure he nursed and had his cord dipped in Iodine.
2 and a half hours later he has a full belly and is alseep on the hay by mom. I hope it's just a nap and not the sign of any sort of failure...
don't they always show mothers in hospitals being handed sleeping babies on TV?
I hope he is okay....
Congratulations mom Jenna. Oh I look forward to a whole new series of lamb posts.
Your week started already splendidly.
Congratulations!
He's fine. He just got pushed out into the world, rest is a reward. Cute as a button. Congratulations Jenna!
No worries. Birthing is exhausting, from both sides. They are excellent. Mazel Tov!
4 hours later and they are doing great! Ear tagged, tail banded, mom and babe doing great!
Jenna, the first few days they do sleep alot. They also don't nurse alot yet. But just wait. They will start running and jumpimg and nurse all day.
Congratulations on the very first Cold Antler lamb!!! It deserves a very special name now.
I've been calling him Knox, as an homage to Knoxvile (the place all this started) and since he was born the night of the Vernal Equinnox
congrats on #9!!!!!
Next is due when?
03/24 is when 06-07 is due. She's a twin sister to Liset, I think. Liset is the wildcard.
Very cute. Congrats!
Congrats Jenna!
Congratulations Jenna! sweet sweet moment.
Congratulations! Remember that really bad winter? No? Same year Knox came into the world. Oh, yeah.
Awesome and a beautiful baby. Congratulations Jenna. Thanks for the video.
Odie
Cheers to Knox, I hope that the next ewe will give you twins, we all know that you can use the money form the sale of the extra one later this year
Well worth the wait! He is doing great!
The plan is to keep 5 for wool, and then anything over 5 (if there are more than 5) will be traded to a neighbor's farm for hay!
Love the name!
Excellent job! Congratulations Jenna!!

excellent! you did it, and so did mama sheep.
oh, yay!!!! The long-awaited first CAF lamb!!! Hearty congratulations!!!! He's adorable!
Oh so sweet! Blessings all around!
Congrats!
Your lamb looks fine and Mom is gurgling to fortify the bond. That's just what happens.
The babe might be tired and I imagine that experiencing gravity for the first time takes some getting used to!
Don't forget that sheep are incredibly hardy and we really don't need to do much.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! How cute! Do they typically have just singles lambs? I'm so glad your lambing has gotten off to a good start!
WooHoo....it's great!
Mazel tov! Many blessing to you all! Nice goin,
Mazel tov, congrats and nice job!

Happy Birthday Knox! Looks like 06-04 is going to be a very good mama, she seemed very attentive to the lamb in the video. Congrats on your first lambing as a true-blue shepherd!
oooh!! hurrah!!! I just sat here and watched that wth M one of my twins who is off school with a horrid bug,it really made her smile! Mine are due end of April onwards so yours will be strapping chunky things by then {beam} we call them pie scraps when they are first born
GTM x x xx x
Hooray!
Welcome to the world little Knox. Congratulations Mommy and Jenna.
congratulations, shepherd mama!!
Yay Jenna! I remember in my childhood that the shepherd across the river just had the sheep lambing in the pasture, then when the little ones were strong enough, they'd move right along, no shelter or anything. These little ones are usually less fragile than they look. Congratulations!
Congratulations on your first lamb, Jenna!
Congrats, Jenna!!
Your little one was born about an hour after my 7th grandbaby - a little girl! Congratulations!
Congratulations! So excited for you and the little guy! I'm looking forward to your future posts of all the adventures the little lambs get into. Thanks for posting the video, What a pleasure to watch. I now have my coworkers asking about your blog.

Great name.
You're a grandma! Good strong name.
congrats on being a new mom-we were wondering, just when do you find time to sleep and rest. Most of us could not keep your schedule and survive.
That is so cute!! Love the vid, thanks!
I'm so happy for all of you at the farm animals and people. It really is spring now and we all made it through. Congratulations and the plan for the potential extra lambs is great!
Knox is a perfect name for a perfect little lamb. So glad all went well. The snow here didn't bother me a bit knowing that the lambs have begun to arrive and spring is truely here!
I am beyond ecstatic for you and the new mamma! Glad it went so well for the first one...may all the others be just so. Welcome to the world, Knox. Congrats to CAF!

Yay! First full day of spring too! I'd like to come for a visit soon to see them leaping about! I'll be in touch.
I just looked up the name Knox. It means "round-topped hill". Perfect for a baby born on a round-topped hill.
YAY!! I couldn't wait to get home from work tonight to see if there were any arrivals!! Welcome to the world little Knox!
Very cute, congratulations nothing like the first of anything pleasant!
YAY!! I couldn't wait to get home from work tonight to see if there were any arrivals!! Welcome to the world little Knox!
Congratulations! I just want to dig my fingers into his wool!
Congratulations, Cold Antler Family, on your new addition! Well done!
Congrats, Jenna and 06-04. I have posted your video on my facebook page so my family can enjoy. All they hear from me is about "my girl"(Jenna). Loving the updates.
Woot!
If he is nursing everything is fine. If you don't see them nursing, you can try to get them to do it (difficult with a sheep). Or you can check their mouth - warm mouth = fed lamb, or so I have read in my lambing book.
Beautiful little fella. Mama is calling to get him to nurse. My husband imitates that sound (whether it is goats/cows/sheep) and uses it to call individual livestock. It's amazing how they respond to him. Try and master it~! :)
Belated congratulations Cold Antler Farm! I'm so happy for you. You must have felt like you won the lottery when you found him. My daily commute is interfering with keeping up. I'll have to work on that ;)
