Beautiful.

On a related note, your two books were featured on a blog today: http://polkand2nd.com/2011/02/10/sick-day/

I linked to your books and site on my blog today (www.polkand2nd.com). After listening to your interview on Splendid Table and reading Chick Days, I am ready for my own little flock. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ha, ha, ha. We've just read your post on yerba mate. We are an Argentine family living in Buenos Aires. Here in Argentina mate is drunk from a small pot with a metal straw called a bombilla. You go pouring in hot water and sharing the mate. It is customary to share mate among family or friends.
You can also drink it like a tea (it comes in tea bags) and then it's name is mate cocido, but if you drink it cold then it's a drink from Paraguay and it's called tereré.
We love reading your blog. All through this terribly hot summer we looked at your pictures!
Un abrazo.

That is a beautiful picture. I especially like the colors of your shirt in the background with the colors of his head too. :-)
