About Me

- Location: Jackson, New York, United States
Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

Yep. Loved it.
Makes me glad that I finally got around to buying a quarter of a grass fed steer. And they're right- it does taste better. The fat from grass fed beef is full of Omega 3, as well.
Thanks for posting this Jenna. I wish them all the best.
We're not on the cutting edge of much here near Utica (NY) but we have a growing and robust local foods movement with a buyers club that's working with the local farmers and producers. Just ordered a pastured pork ham for Christmas last night. It will come from a farm about 25 minutes from here.
Right on Kathy! You should read Catherine Friends The Compassionate Carnivore. You'd love it.
Nice! Thanks for sharing! That's truly a beautiful life!
Just lovely! These folks articulate perfectly all the reasons why I'm doing this. It really rings true for me. Thanks for sharing.
