goodbye beam blossom
Bean Blossom, my French Angora doe who mothered many, many kits passed away last night. She was nearly 4 years old, a good long life for a captive rabbit. That's me and one of her kits last summer, taken at the office before a buyer was coming to meet to pick her up. All over New England and PA her little ones carry on. She was a good girl, and I was sad to see her pass on.

it's hard to lose little ones, even furry ones.
I'm very sorry to hear that.
Awww, Bean. :(
so sorry for the loss. BB
Sad to hear, she was one pretty rabbit.
I'm so sorry Jenna. I lost two brand new does I hadn't even had a week this past year. It was hard then and I didn't even have the relationship you did with Bean. Perhaps all our girls are up in bunny heaven together. ((hugs))
she was beautiful. i'm sorry.
Aww, goodbye BB. Always sad to lose a small furry thing.
So sorry for your loss Jenna.
So sorry Jenna.
Sure "it's only a bunny" but when we have had a animal around for any length of time, it's hurts to lose them. It creates an empty spot that takes time to fill in a bit. So sorry!
So sorry Jenna.
It seems like just yesterday you were getting the tatoo kit for her first kits. She will be remembered by many because you shared her life with us. Hugs to you Jenna.
I'm so sorry. For her to live that long, she obviously had excellent care.
Poor bunny. I'm so sorry for your loss but she had a good long life.
Aww. I'm sorry. We put our 15 year old dog to sleep last 4 days ago and it was the hardest thing I've ever done. I feel your pain.
She will be remembered well. :)
Sorry to hear the sad news Jenna.
I am sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss and I hope you find another little rabbit soon.
I'm sorry Jenna. Four years is long enough to get really attached to someone, especially if they're a cute little bunny.
Are you going to stay in the angora rabbits business as part of your wool business or are you going to just concentrate on sheep? Does this mean you'll find a new home for her 'consort'?
It’s always hard to lose a beloved member of your extended family. My heart is with you.
sorry Jenna.... bunny heaven...
So sorry for your loss. She left a fine legacy.
I'm so sorry. I can entirely sympathize. I've kept rabbits all my life as pets, since I was a little kid... and lost my last one, Pillendiel, two summers ago. I promised myself I would never have rabbits again because they are too prone to illness and die too young, and it's really just absolute torture for me to love them and then lose them so quickly... but as I've read your blog I've been tempted to get an angora or two for fiber. They're so beautiful and such quiet, calm critters.
I was really sorry to hear about your rabbit. It is hard to lose a good farm animal.
