jackson farm update
For those of you interested in how the new home of Cold Antler is coming along, all I can share is the mortgage was approved and is being underwritten. All the paperwork is filed and I am waiting to hear from the lawyers when the closing date is. Right now all I can really do is clean, pack, carry loads of stuff to the dump and start planning the move. My Sister and my friends the Snyders (homesteaders and future farmers) are coming up from PA to help me get the flocks settled and build shelters and fences. I'll let local folks know when that is and we'll have a work party at the farm.

That is so exciting! Good luck and good work!
I am so excited for you. Just gives me hope that someday i'll have it too. :)
Wish I could be there to help! I've still got years to go before I'll be able to buy my own place but it's good to see you getting yours. You've had enough bumps and set backs along the way. You've really earned this for yourself.
Hiya, just found your blog today and have to agree with the others - it's so cool to read about your adventures and see how this is coming together for you. Looking forward to my chance at all of this! Cheers!
I am so freaking excited for you!
So exciting! It was meant to be!
I keep waiting for the "I signed the loan docs" post and then the "I funded" post and finally the "It recorded!!!!!!" post. Seeing you get past the "I was approved" post was awesome but I'm still biting my fingernails, crossing fingers, lopping lucky feet off of rabbits (well, not so much on that one) and all that other good luck type stuff. *goes back to quietly yet obsessively checking Jenna's blog*
Good for you! I applaud the courage it must have taken on your part to get all these balls rolling...that's great. I'll look forward to reading all about it. It I weren't on the OTHER corner of the U.S., I'd come help you! I'd bring my macho logger tree farmer with me. He'd enjoy Vermont, that's for sure.
Blessings,
Dianne

Say hey to those Snyder folks from PA. I'm a Snyder from PA myself up Brookville way. Hope the move goes smoothly!
I am so glad to hear the wonderful news, finally a much needed and well deserved happy ending!!

*SO* glad to hear it's all working out, Jenn. Good luck and I can't wait to hear more about the new (and permanent!) Cold Antler Farm!
So glad it is all falling together for you. You will get Finn back won't you?
Take care and don't hurt yourself with all the work you have to do.
Is the sale totally 'in the bag'? I sincerely hope that there are no unforseen glitches. Here in the UK we cannot be sure we own a house until the moment we physically get the keys in our hands and we step through the front door.
I have been reading and watching your progress for so long now Jenna, that I feel the tension with you (it seems so anyway).
Oh the suspense and the excitement...!
Warmest wishes.
Hey--I check in here every day or two, to see how both farms are coming. You chase dreams as well as you write. Make sure you post that work party. I'm in upstate NY--not too far away to come lend a hammer and a hand. -Eric
I'm with Lil...I've been waiting for the "OMG I own a farm!" post. ;-) I'm so looking forward to doing leaps of joy around my computer desk when we hear the confirmation, but for now it all looks good. I'm SOOOO happy for you (and your animals!!).
