The one you wrote a month or two back about Barnheart. I think that one is perfect and aptly describes many of your readers (myself included) :)

I love all of your posts but two stand out ones for me are the one about your hands and the one where you say "Our lives are the sum of what we want them to be" at the end of the post. I have that posted to my monitor here at work. Those words really spoke to me.

Goes back to waiting for the "I'm signing loan docs on the farm" post. :-)

My all time favorite post is 'We're not from here' It's a great great post! Some other favorites are

'like humidity'
'two hands'
'long deep breaths'
'one hour better'
'you might be a homesteader if'

I've not made it back to read all your archives, yet, but since I have been reading regularly, those are the best ones, in my opinion.

Sometimes It's Hard (9/21/09)
The Goat Walk (8/09)

There was one where you talked about what you loved about fall - unfortunately I cannot find it right now.

A very good post - not a favorite - but very good - is A Bloody Sunday 10/25/09. It was an eloquent entry about the circle of life and living with our decisions.

I do, Jenna, but I can't find it and I'm not sure I can clue you in on it. It was in the cold part of the year- I think you either were out on a run with the dogs or were sledding...and you mentioned that the leaves were dancing like something to do with somebody's grandchildren. Shoot. I can't remember it, but I remember thinking that you write so darn well you should work on a novel.

I ran across We're Not From Around Here looking for it, and yeah, that's definitely one of your very best.

I hope you can find what I'm talking about. The picture that went with it was very dusk blue.

This is a tough question. You have so many good posts. My favorites is your original post about the greenhorn movie. Because finding them changed my life. Second favorite your last post about the equinox. It was a day to remember. And the part where you say "I found my tribe." That part makes me smile everytime

I love the posts about:
*One Hour Better
*And that one about humidity - wasn't it a letter to humidity itself? That really made me laugh.
*Posts with recipes

I also think links to the posts where you tell us about those big events you attend like sheepherding stuff, community shin-digs and that recent lamb butchering class from this past weekend, etc. would be great.

My vote, plus DFH's on these. I showed them to him & he loved them.

Also, the one I've never been able to find again - telling of your love for fall, as the leaves danced in the evening breeze as you did the nightly chores.

I really just enjoy checking in and reading about the daily happenings. And all the great pictures, especially of Jazz and Annie!
Here are my personal favorites:

December 28 - one hour better
November 16 - two hands
October 16 - the wood pile
September 21 - sometimes it's hard
August 21 - the hard fall
March 8 - long deep breaths

I also really enjoyed the article Life on the Homestead. "Late one night i was grinding coffee and listening to a radio show...."
That article really made homesteading a reality for me.

I don't remember the title or date (sorry!) but one of my favorites is when you explain your realization that choosing to eat responsibly raised meat makes more of a statement to the industry than vegetarianism because you are spending your money elsewhere rather than taking it out of the equation completely. Ring any bells?
