out of power
There's no power in Sandgate thanks to the wicked wind storm from last night. I'll be home, but unable to update the blog till it comes back on, and I'm not sure when that will be. So, I just wanted to check in so no one thinks Maude finally did me in.

One of these days that sheep is going to save your life, just to spite you! LOL
Be safe, stay warm! See ya when the power comes back.
Grace and Peace,
John
Hope the power isn't off all weekend. I don't know what I'll do without Cold Antler Farm news.... best wishes...
Not that she's not thinking about it....
Aren't you glad you're all set up for not using power? Outside of not being able to keep us updated (and I'm sure we'll all go into withdrawal- I know I will), this should be no big deal for you.
Stay safe.
We had part of that wicked storm here last night too, had to nail back on part of my roof this morning! I don't know how we still have power, usually if there is mention of the possibility of power going out, we lose it! I'm thankful, I can stand not having power, but it makes for a cranky family member. Take care Jenna, I know you'll be fine, you're a survivor!
gather 'round the wood stove and make it a two dog night!
i'll be thinking of you!
Welcome to the club. I looked forward to the womens hockey game all week and 15 min. before the 6:30 face off was to begin "poof". I didn't get it back until 4:30am. Then I had to check on and fix my wastewater treatment plants! At least I got 3 new cd's in the mail that day to stare at the lanterns flame with!
Enjoy the blessed silence a winter storm brings. I think I'll bring out the oil lamps and candels and enjoy a beautifully quiet evening too.
You are such a joy to read!
I'm a bit of a lurker here; just caught up on several of your posts. I wanted to congratulate you on signing the mortgage application! No one could make better use of, or appreciate more, the land you are about to buy into. Things are gonna get really exciting for you--and us--when you have a place to call your own!
There is atrocious weather headed up & across to us this weekend, yesterday was so lovely & sunny doh!
Am sure you enjoyed the evening, its never bothered me when we have an outage here.We have a generator that keeps the chest freezers stashed with a years worth of home grown safe so thats all that matters, the rest we can cope with & the peace is lovely
GTM x x
Updating from my iPhone at wayside- still no power, heat, water- just a fireplace, but it's warm/35degrees
Hi Jenna: I've a big plastic jug of water run off just waiting for the power to go up here - it was a wild and wooly night, but here I am this morning, checking emails and blogs and waiting for the water to boil for coffee, like always. Not even cold so haven't bothered getting the stove going yet!
Lots of luck with that mortgage application.
