a very sad night
Without going into any detail: I regret to announce that I need to find a new home for Finn. It's a long story, but out of my control. It was not my decision. If anyone out there in the New England area wants a trained, kind, wether please email me at Jenna@itsafarwalk.com. He is free to the right home. Finn is not disbudded, but is leash trained and started pack training and was doing wonderfully. He'd be a spriteful and fun addition to any herd. He is up to date on rabies and tetanus shots and as far as I know has no allergies or issues.
This has me very upset. I cared for him very much.

Oh Jenna, I am so very sorry. My heart is breaking for you. I pray that you will find just the right home for him. It is obvious how much you love him and have loved raising him. Again, I am so deeply sorry.
Much affection, Cary
Sending lots of love and ease the heart prayers Jenna. I am so very sorry you're hurting and losing your boy.
I am so sorry, Jenna.
Jenna, we will miss reading about him and the cute pictures of him. I will put out an apb, I know some people up there in that area...
Good luck...

Oh I am so very, very sorry Jenna! I will send prayers your way for him to find a good home.
Loss of any kind is so hard Jenna. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Virtual hugs.
Jenna, I'm so sorry you have to let him go. I'll be sending lots of positive energy for both of you.
I'm so sorry. I wish I could help. Sending hugs and good thoughts to you. :)
Jenna, Finn is adorable, and my heart goes out to you. This must feel akin to what it would be like to be forced to find a new home for one of my dogs. If we had our farm yet in TN, we'd arrange to take him somehow. Since we are not there yet, we will join you in praying to find the right home.

Sorry to hear about your need to rehome Finn. I trust you find a goat person who can use him as company for a horse or buck or . Goats are such herd animals.
May you find just the right place for him to go. I know this is always a tough one.
So sorry. I started reading you blog back when you got him. {{{hugs}}}
I'm sorry.
Jenna I am so sorry to hear that you have to give up Finn. I can not imagine what you are going through. I know that you will find hima good home. Our thoughts are with you.

My best wishes for you and for Finn. I hope a new home for him turns up quickly and you feel better soon.
You're brave to share your loss in a public forum and condolences are beaming to you from the south. There is a season for everything.
You may have already read it, but Horatio Clare's memoir about growing up on a sheep farm in Wales, entitled Running for the Hills, is a great read.
How sad!! After all your stories and pictures, I feel like I know him.
Awww that's too bad I really like your Finn. I hope you can find him a wonderful new home and maybe even close enough that you can visit him now and again.
I am sorry, Jenna.
Best of luck with finding a good farm home for your boy. Like Goatldi said, they are herd animals ~ he will need a companion. Too bad we are such a distance. We have 3 goats, and don't mind horns, unlike some folks. Sorry to see him go.
Very sad to hear this, Jenna. I wish I lived closer!
I'm sorry to hear this Jenna. It has been so much fun to watch him grow up. I realized today that its been almost a year since I started following your blog, and its not fun to watch all the hardships I've seen you go through. Sending you loving positive energy. *hugs*
I'm so sorry! I hope you're ok. Lots of love!
Jenna, I'm so sorry. What a loss! I am praying for you and for Finn.
Sound like possibly a landlord issue or some similar neighbor/local problem.
Know this Jenna.
What we learn the hard way now provides the best education for us in the future.
God's plans for us are not for us to know but they always seem to hurt in the present.
One thing I have learned. That pain is well rewarded in the future.
I don't intend to impose upon your faith but I suspect you realize from past experience that what we fight through now always makes us better people in the future/always makes us better able to handle/prepare for and handle future situations.
Finn taught you much that will be a blessing to those many that follow. For that, we and they thank him
Tony in Asheville.
Am sorry Jenna. Hope you find somewhere where you know he'll be content. Beverley
There is a great group of folks near me who have a yahoogroup of small time farmers with goats/sheep, etc. If you like, I can post his details there. If it works out, and you need a place to stay, if he needs a ride out here, let me know. So sorry :(
Oh so sorry to hear about Finn. Hope that you are able to find a place for him that puts you at ease.
This sounds like a landlord or nosy neighbor issue. I've suffered with both before, and I'm so sorry you're losing your Finn.
I am so sorry. I will pray for just the right person to show up and give him a great home.

Oh no...I'm so sorry. Poor you, and poor Finn! I hope you're able to find a happy home for him (maybe with visitation rights!). You know I'd take him in if I were closer. Big squeezes...
Boosted the signal by posting my my LJ.
All the best wishes from MA that you're able to find your sweet boy a good home.

Jenna- I'm so sorry. I will miss reading about Finn and your adventures raising him. And I will miss the adorable photos of him. I hope you are able to find a good home for him quickly.
hugs, Kristina
We are so sorry about Finn. I know you will be able to give him to a good home. I'm sure there are plenty of people in your neck of the woods who would love to have him.
I feel so sad for you, Jenna. You've done a beautiful job with Finn. I was devastated when I was forced to find homes for the clan of stray cats that lived in my backyard (a.k.a. my "Garden Cats"). I can't imagine giving up an animal I raised from a baby.
Best wishes and heartfelt hope.
Hope you are not dealing with too much hassle :o( & I hope Finn can be rehomed swiftly so you can pick yourself up from this glumness((hugs))
take care

I'm so so sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you. Can you possibly find him a foster home until you can have him back at Cold Antler Farm again? (bunnies too?)
Jenna
I come here by way of Kragore's LJ.
I am sorry to hear of the sadness that has come into your life.
I work at Crotched Mtn, which is a school and community for multiply handicapped folk. Crotched Mtn owns a co-op farm that works with that community.(Sunnyfield Farm) If you wish, I can ask around and see if they would like to volunteer to add your Finn to their menagerie.
It strikes me that such a sweet guy would be great for such a situation. (I could ask about the bunnies too if you wish.)
Whether this interests you or not, I hope sincerely that just the perfect homes come along for your beloved critters.
So sorry! Our draft horse Bill died last week. We're all in mourning here (especially his teammate Vinny), and so I totally understand how you feel!
Your picture and story of picking Finn up is what started my goat obsession. I hope he finds a good home not too far from you and that you, too, find a good home where you can live the life you dream.
I'll echo the hope that you can find a new home for Finn that allows visitation rights and maybe even reclaimation (if that's even a word) rights once you get your own farm. In the mean time, best wishes and good thoughts to you while you're having this craptastic week. We're all out here pulling for you.
oh no, this news made me sad enough to tear up. I'm so sorry to hear about this (((Jenna)))
Much love to you both Jenna, my heart is with you.
Oh, Jenna! I'm so sorry!!! I'm thinking of you during this sad time...Finn is a sweetie and I'll pray that he finds a wonderful home.
I'm so sorry to hear you need to break up your little farm family. Wish I could take them, but I've been firmly informed "no goats in our suburban back yard" and I'm allergic to bunnies. If all else fails, my husband is an animal control officer who has contacts with rabbit rescues.
Do follow up with Ember. I know the school/rehab facility where she works and your critters and the kids might be very good for each other.
