RIP, Chuck...
RIP...is that render in pan? Reduce in pot? heh heh heh....
I am sure it will be a lot safer and more peaceful for all the others on Cold Antler Farm. I am also sure that he will make a splendid Sunday dinner!
S'long, Chuck, you old pecker, you.
I hope you kept the feet they make the best soup stock.
So long Chuck, you were just not a good man.
Yeah, but there'll be good eating some day soon, right?
I'm thinking of you this morning, Jenna - as much as I know that you needed to do this thing, I'm sure it still wasn't easy. You can rest in knowing that you gave Chuck a great life - and now Cold Antler will be a more peaceful place for the animals who call it home. You did the right thing...
He's in the freezer now, his head's still out on the stump with his feet. Haven't gotten around to cleaning everything up yet but I am glad it's over and the farm is a lot quieter now.
And Winthrop, I think, was thrilled. He trotted around Steve and I as we plucked the feathers!
RIP Chuck Klosterman. You died for the greater good.
I'm glad that Winthrop is thrilled. The farm will be a lot happier without C.K. And yes, RIP C.K. Roast in peace.
Goodbye chuck- You were a great warrior. And the rest of you finding enjoyment in this-THHHHHHHP
Good for you Jenna. I know that it was both a difficult decision and deed. Annie & I take five of our roosters to the Community Chicken Processing day tomorrow. Our first at culling also. Wish me luck!
I'm sorry - I cracked up. Still LOLin' at that pic! Chuck you knew it was comin' homie. RIP
