About Me

- Name: Jenna
- Location: Jackson, New York, United States
Enjoy the story of a young writer living in Washington County with her fancy dogs, sheep, lots of chickens, fiber & meat rabbits, geese, ducks, turkeys, a hive and a garden. Expect to hear a lot about mountain music, the civil war, local food, and my friends along the way. It's a big time folks.

Hi - I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE your blog - great writing and great topics. Last week I was in your area - Manchester, Dorset, etc. My first trip to Vermont and it was wonderful. My husband and I even talked about your blog and wondered if we were in your 'hood. Next week I will probably be bloging about my first taste of unpasturized milk, the Dorset farmer's market, and the great Vermont cheese that we bought. Take care!

Love your blog! And your book, which I pass along to every farm girl wannabe I meet (which is a surprising number, actually!)
I am living vicariously through you, until my own set of hens and other hobby farm accessories (um, including the farm!) arrive!
You were absolutely in my hood. I was in Manchester Saturday. Thanks!
Have you heard Horsefeathers?
"House Without A Home" may make it to your listening list. (Fine fiddling included).
So, how much hay can you fit in your new rig??
As you should.
Saw Sam Beam in Asheville this past winter. His sister sang back-up. Great show, although the usual meatheads kept yelling either Iron & Wine song requests or "Play Free bird," to which Sam repeatedly, and graciously replied, "Thank you."
*Upward Over the Mountain is one of my all-time mostest, bestest, favorites.
Ashely, upward over the mountain is the first song I will play when I own a J-45 someday. It is my favorite song to sing and play on guitar.
