A popular website called Craftsanity recently published a podcast interviewing me about Made From Scratch. If you want to hear me talk about farming, and all my big plans, you can listen to it here:

Hey your site gets better everyday! I thought I'd drop in to say hello and let you know that Ben and his girls made it through the winter without a problem! I'll probably see you at the chicken swap next weekend.

Cheers

That's how I found you...I listened while packing up to move to our new house here in Minnesota. We'll have our city limit of 3 chickens, but will have to wait on the goats till the next home. Thanks!

This picture reminds me of this lady I knew who tore the backseat out of her Cadillac so she could take her cattle to the market.

I just finished up your book..... found it on a whim while browsing the library..... love it!! Seriously inspiring and you are a darn funny girl to read about..... I swear I can hear your voice talking as I read the pages in your book..... hmmm. They may have sounded a little crazy! Ha ha! Anyhow, I am a fellow blogger and just wrote a post about your book and blog here : http://www.gypsyforest.com/welcome_to_gypsy_forest/2009/04/made-from-scratch.html ..... keep on writing woman because I am eating it up. And if anytime I am having a bad day, I will pour a glass of homemade wine (yes we're home brewers here) and look at that fabulously hilarious photo of you in your car with those sheep. LOVE IT!!

I just listened to the podcast and loved it! What a great, honest, authentic discussion of your lifestyle and your choices.

Sorry about the hive. I, too, got a little stab of fear about you being out there alone in the dark of morning / night in the company of bears.
